2007 - 2008 Accomplishments

Sandy And Blues Silvia Of Sweden earned her first AKC Major and has a total of 6 points now, after the Harrisburg circuit.

Ashcroft Rogers Tivoli, brother to Sky, is up to 3 majors and 11 points after Harrisburg.

Lambs End Calientita at Ashcroft took WB/BOW/BOS over a top special on the final day of the circuit for her first points.

Ch Wrightwyn's Puttin On The Ritz, my foundation bitch, was awarded the BTCA Brood Bitch award as producer of 8

champions. Cocoa has helped build a very solid foundation of quality at Ashcroft.

February 2009, Ch Ashcroft Wedgewood Summer Sky finished her AKC Championship requirements at the Monticello KC show.

The next day brother Ashcroft Rogers Tivoli got a 3 point major to start his show career.

January 2009 Sky was WB/BOW for another point in MD, she needs a single and a major to finish her championship.

December 2008 - I did it, I ventured back into the show ring with Ashcroft Wedgewood Summer Sky. Sky is a real rough

neck outside in the big yard, and she has some funny dark spots to prove it. The judges made note of my "patchwork"

Bedlington by giving her BOW/BOS two days in Bethlehem, PA - and over a top ranked bitch special on Saturday at that!

I managed a fast walk on a flat, even surface. We'll see what the summer brings when the shows move out onto grass.

At the same shows, Ashcroft Orion was WD both days for three points - he's doing very well for owners Karen and Al Miller.

And Congratulations go to owners Julianne & Ed Steele, co-owners Kay & Dick Kraft, for Ch Boardwalk Bling Bling's sweep

of the AKC/Eukanuba circuit in California. Bling is by Ch Ashcroft Sangeo Santana, aka 'Piper', the sire of my one week old

puppies - I'm very excited at their potential!

Vicky has arrived... daughter of Ashcroft Lucky American Dream and Toolbox The Bachelor, Sandy And Blues Silvia Of Sweden

arrived in early October to begin her life here in the USA. She's an adorable girl that I selected on my visit with the Lidsell

family (Sandy And Blues Bedlington Terriers), and she's fitting in very nicely. Thanks to Malin Eriksson who reminded me how

to say "good girl" in Swedish!

My total knee replacement surgery went well, and I'm home recovering. The doctors say it will be some time before

I'm trotting around a show ring again, but I am enjoying the break, and hope to return with renewed enthusiasm when

I'm up to it.

June/July 2008

I had a wonderful trip to Sweden for The World Show and circuit shows. Magic performed beautifully, winning the Reserve

Certificate at the National Terrier Show. I had an opportunity to see some really lovely Bedlingtons from all over the

world. These pics of Magic were taken at Sweden's National Terrier Show, a Terrier Specialty  held the Wednesday

before the four-day long World Show Competition.

Pictured below is Sandy And Blues Silvia of Sweden, who I hope will come to the USA in the early fall of this year.

She is a daughter of Ashcroft Lucky American Dream (Elvira) and Sw Ch Toolbox The Bachelor (Plexus).

Mimi finished her quest for her AKC Championship Saturday June 7th. Mims is now Ch Ashcroft Ain't Miss Behavin'. She's

the third from her litter to finish, and her dam Cocoa's 8th champion get. A HUGE THANKS to Laurie Zembrzuski and

daughter Gaby Gilbeau who took Mimi out last summer, trained her, groomed her, and got all her points but this last major.

Mimi now lives with Ken, Anna and Tasha in Malvern PA where she is well loved and very spoiled!

Karen Weldon and Suzanne Haggerty accompanied me on the "ROAD TRIP" to VA - Karen got some great

pictures!! We finished early on Sunday, and drove home along the Blue Ridge Mountains' Skyline Drive.

6/7/08 Ch Ashcroft Do U Believe In Magic was BOB and made the cut in the Terrier Group for another nice win.

Ashcroft Wedgewood Summer Sky earned 2 points for WB at the May Freehold, NJ shows.

March 2008: Video clip of Magic at the BTCA National Specialty held in Louisville, KY. I was THRILLED to accept Magic's

plaque from the BTCA for Top Bedlington Terrier, Opposite Sex, Breeder-Owner-Handled 2007. Her BOB wins put her

"over the top" to earn this lovely award.

Magic was BOB Saturday March 1 in Secaucus NJ, and Ashcroft Wedgewood Summer Sky was WB/BOW/Best Puppy

and earned a Puppy Group 2. Sunday March 2, Ashcroft Lucky Penny was WB for a point.

February 2008:

Magic competed at the Westminster Kennel Club show in Madison Square Garden February 11th. I have attended many

times as a spectator, this was the first time as an exhibitor. Congratulations to the winners, and to all who showed their

beautiful dogs. Streaming video of the Bedlington Terrier breed judging can be seen at www.westminsterkennelclub.org

January 2008 Ashcroft Wedgewood Summer Sky gets her first major at the Boardwalk KC shows. The other major went to Brady

daughter Allie of Chaps owned by newcomer Fiore Ferrara and family. Allie - before her "show trim" -

January 2008 Ch Ashcroft Do U Believe In Magic traveled to the "Rose City Classic" shows in Portland, Oregon. She won

Best of Breed 3 days of the 5 day circuit, competing against some lovely specials from that area. We got to meet some

exhibitors I'd never met before, and all were very gracious.

Nov 2007: MAGIC continues her winning ways with three Best of Breed wins on the competitive Maryland show circuit. She

topped that off with a Terrier Group IV placement under judge Mr. Frank Washabaugh against very stiff competition.

She's getting high praise from the judges and her competitors alike.

The Philadelphia KC show circuit consists of 4 days of shows, two of which are  benched, giving the public a great

opportunity to actually meet the breeds and breeders that they see on TV but so seldom in person. Ashcroft dogs

attended all four days. Lia, Ch Ashcroft Hart Of A Lady got her first leg in Rally Obedience! We're VERY PROUD of

the dogs who get titles for more than good looks. Lia is very bright, and worked the rally course with great

enthusiasm. Ch Ashcroft Do U Believe In Magic was BOS one day, and Best of Breed two other days. This was

very exciting as she has just begun her "specials" career. Magic is a joy to show, and while she was exhausted by the

last day, she still put in a lovely performance in the Terrier group.

Penny and Jackson are the proud parents of seven puppies. See the Puppies page for pictures

and info about future litters. Ashcroft Orion from this litter will start his show career in 2008
